Anderson Youth Bat

The Anderson bat company was founded in 1991 by Steven Anderson, a former designer for Louisville Slugger. Today the company is a well respected manufacturer of aluminum bats. The Anderson Bat company focuses on the sale of softball bats (mostly slow pitch), although they do offer three different models of aluminum youth bats, and two models of fast pitch bats.

The 2009 Anderson TechZilla XP Cage Bats are intended for practice and non game situations. These bats contain small dents and dings in the barrel. These bats also may have SMALL deformations in the barrel that are known in the Anderson bat world as Performance Waves. These waves are a design characteristic of all Anderson multi-wall bats and should be regarded as one hundred per cent normal. In fact, these waves are a vital part of your bat reaching its highest performance potential. A wave in the barrel can be attributed to the outer wall pushing itself away from the inner wall, creating gaps along the barrel and decreasing friction between the two walls. This lack of friction means more energy can be transferred from the bat to the ball and will increase exit velocity and distance.
